Summary

According to Wikipedia: "The Mahabharata is one of the two major Sanskrit epics of ancient India, the other being the Ramayana. The epic is part of itihasa. Besides its epic narrative of the Kurukshetra War and the fates of the Kauravas and the Pandavas, the Mahabharata contains much philosophical and devotional material, such as a discussion of the four "goals of life" or purusharthas (12.161). The latter are enumerated as dharma (right action), artha (purpose), kama (pleasure), and moksha (liberation). Among the principal works and stories that are a part of the Mahabharata are the Bhagavad Gita, the story of Damayanti, an abbreviated version of the Ramayana, and the Rishyasringa, often considered as works in their own right."

This audiobook is narrated by an AI Voice.
In this book, Pastor Mfula deals with issues of life, particularly the power behind forgiveness. Forgiveness may look insignificant to you, but it is the backbone of Christianity. It is the very core element or entity behind our salvation. If your sins are not forgiven, then you won’t make it to Heaven. One thing you must know is that our God is a forgiving Father and does not keep His anger forever, and does not treat us as our sins deserve (Psalm 103:8-12).
Get this book and discover the reason forgiveness is so important in our lives.

In the biblical narrative, Esau was the rightful heir to his father's fortune. Yet, he was not interested in his father's ways, trampling on his lineage by selling his birthright for food. Jacob was about his father's business. He adopted the practices of his father, Isaac, and grandfather, Abraham.
My mother was a product of a broken home. Her parents followed the way of Esau. My grandparent's divorce created a ripple that lasted for generations. That ripple stopped with me.
Through many helpers, Yahuah helped me turn my lineage from Esau to Jacob.

An emergency call, and I rush from my coziness into the dark community where the police have requested a chaplain. Arriving in minutes, I find the family imploding with grief having just discovered their son hanging in the garage. In a moment of unshakable pain, he jumped off the ladder and into eternity. And I will never shake the look in their eyes when I asked why he hadn't called a church. "Why would he do that?" Across town, a pool of tears on my kitchen table as an out of town guest feels the weight of his infidelity, despairing that his famished soul finds no refuge and that he has to board a plane to feel fellowship. "Has your church tried to help you?" And the Christian leader confesses he hasn't been to church in years.
Infighting, backbiting, heartbreaking, frustrating ... church.
Though exceptions do exist, the reality is that church in America is failing one life at a time. Somewhere between pathetically predictable and shamefully entertaining, sadly sentimental and rarely authentic, church has become worst of all ... godless.
Vertical Church points to a new day where God is the seeker, and we are the ones found. In Vertical Church God shows up, and that changes everything.
If you want to experience God as you never have before and witness His hand at work, if you want to wake up to the first thought, "Thank God it's Sunday," if you're ready to feel your heart beat faster as you drive to your place of worship ... then devour and digest the lessons of Vertical Church.
