Summary

Annie Besant (1847-1933) was a British socialist, theosophist, freemason, women’s rights activist, educationist, a writer and a powerful orator. Regarded as a champion of human freedom, she was an ardent supporter of both Irish and Indian self-rule. She was also a prolific author with over three hundred books and pamphlets to her credit. In 1890, meeting in Paris Helena Petrovna Blavatsky, she was converted to Theosophy, becoming a member of the Theosophical Society and a prominent lecturer on the subject. When Blavatsky died in 1891, Besant was left as one of the leading figures in Theosophy and in 1893 she represented it at the Chicago World Fair.Besides being a prolific writer, Besant was a “practised stump orator” who gave sixty-six public lectures in one year. In her long life she wrote numerous books and pamphlets. The Annie Besant’s pamphlet Biblical Biology was published in London in 1884. It’s a reflection - only apparently provocative but actually profound and reasoned - on the theological and “biological” contradictions of the Holy Scriptures of Judeo-Christian monotheism, typical of Annie Besant’s youthful and revolutionary spirit.

Is she the only one "dirty" in church? A provocative look at the modern church and how our safe environment has cornered us.Leah, the youngest homeschooled daughter of a music pastor is already twenty years old and no one has approached her father to ask for her hand yet. She has secret ambitions that don’t include courting a man chosen for her—anything that involves an adventure. When accusation divides the church during Sunday morning service, her illusion of safety shifts like the shadows in the sanctuary. In the aftermath, a handsome intern pastor is poised to help the church transition back to health. To prevent being duped again, Leah begins to spy on others. What starts out as curiosity, borders on voyeurism. But it might be worth it when it reveals rogue Christians, leaders with secrets and a plan that involves her. Hilarey’s second engrossing suspense in the Breaking Bonds series proves that sometimes the most dangerous adventure can happen in your own church.

This book tells the impressive story of the young Gabriel Guilherme Estevão, dedicated from birth to the service of demons. In a clear, direct, and impressive way, Gabriel tells how he was educated and prepared to be an agent of service to the forces of darkness, and unmasks the form of performance of the fallen angels. Meanwhile, the most important - and beautiful - of this book is regarding how God reached out and freed the young Angolan, turning him into an instrument of salvation and blessing for many people. An important reading that reminds us that the great conflict between good and evil is real and that we need to choose the right and victorious side in this battle.
Gabriel Guilherme Estêvão was born on September 17, 1990, in the province of Uige, in Angola. ECPA Easter Bestseller 2024!How can we help children experience the true meaning of Lent, cultivate generosity, and prepare their hearts for Easter? Make Room by Laura Alary offers an innovative and engaging way for children to approach Lent, teaching them how to "make room" for Jesus in their everyday lives through acts of kindness, hospitality, and self-reflection.
This beautifully illustrated children's book connects everyday activities—like baking bread, having a neighbor over for dinner, or un-cluttering a room—with the story of Jesus' life, showing how these simple tasks mirror the values of justice, love, and sacrifice that Jesus lived. It's not just a book about Lent; it's an invitation to experience it with all the senses, helping children understand how to embody faith and discipleship in their own unique ways.
Unlike traditional books that simply recount the Passion narrative, Make Room thoughtfully integrates the themes of hospitality and self-giving that were central to Jesus' ministry. It invites children to wonder about the story of Lent and Easter, teaching them that this season is not just about giving up things, but about creating space in our hearts and lives for others—and for God.
    Why Families Love Make Room:

    - Thoughtful, accessible explanations of Lent and Easter tailored for children.
    - Practical, real-life activities for children to engage with the Lenten season.
    - Inspires children to think deeply about generosity, helping others, and self-giving in a fun, relatable way.
    - Beautiful illustrations by Ann Boyajian that bring the story to life and help children visualize the biblical narrative.
    - Encourages meaningful conversations about faith, love, and preparation for Easter.
    Praise for Make Room:

    - "A tender and thoughtful guide to Lent for children. The perfect resource for families wanting to prepare for Easter meaningfully." – Amy Shaw, Educator.
Perfect for Sunday school, family devotionals, or bedtime reading, Make Room makes Lent a time of joyful anticipation and deep spiritual reflection. The second book in the "Circle of Wonder: Liturgical Year Resource Set," it is an essential addition to your family's Easter bookshelf.
Make Room is more than just a children's book; it's a way to help the next generation grow in their faith and understanding of the beautiful season of Lent—teaching them that, by making room for others and for God, they prepare themselves for the resurrection and new life in Christ.

“God knows your breaking point. You simply don’t know your own strength.”

“Everything begins in the mind. If you want to see clearly, you need clear vision.”

Swami Satchidananda was the founder of Integral Yoga International. He taught the birthright of all is to realize the spiritual unity behind the diversity throughout creation and live harmoniously as members of “one universal family”. Swami was born into a loving spiritual family on December 22nd in 1914 during the month known as Margali, the Dawn of the Devas. From an early age, Swami (or Ramaswamy as he was known at the time) displayed many spiritual tendencies and a deep dedication to the truth.

Thus at the age of 28, he decided to devote himself full time to his spiritual practice. There then followed a period of seeking the wisdom and blessing of various saints and sages. Although a sannyasin Satchidananda was active in serving others and was happy to use modern technology to disseminate the teachings of yoga. Like many great Saints, Satchidananda believed all religions could lead seekers to the same goal. His interfaith motto was “Truth Is One, Paths Are Many.”
