Summary

On a small farm in Illinois, four survivors of an apocalypse fend off the undead.
 
Tyler reads history books and journals that examine events throughout history of the dead returning, and the cover-up that ensues. As he and his crew adjust to the new normal, the story covers ancient Rome, Norfolk, England in the swinging ’60s, Egypt in 524 B.C., and one of the original colonies in America.
 
Three Finger Tang, O’Hanlon, Poppy, Apollo, and others from previous books in the series make appearances, as the story covers the return of the living dead over the ages.
 
But will the answer to their resurrection ever be discovered?
