Summary

Milo Burnbrook has had a setback.
After being fired from his assistant manager position at an iconic Hollywood Hotel, he decides to return home to Rockport, Maine, as the new event coordinator for Rocky Cliff Lighthouse. But Milo ran from Rockport six years ago for a reason, and he quickly realizes he will have no choice but to face his past.
Milo may not be ready to make amends with his twin sister and all his old friends, but when sparks fly between Milo and Jackson, the man whose rejection sent him running to California in the first place, it looks like facing his past is exactly what he needs to do to finally have everything he has always wanted. That is, until he discovers Jackson was the prime suspect in the death of his previous boyfriend, Jason Reese, who fell from the top of the Rocky Cliff Lighthouse.
When Milo's best friend, Robert, and his new true-crime podcaster girlfriend come to visit from California, suspicions run high, things get complicated, and Milo will come face-to-face with the truth of what happened at Rocky Cliff the night Jason died.
It's not a fall. It's a setback.

When an unexpected flame ignites between me and a rogue wolf, things get hot and heavy fast. It’s my last summer of freedom before I take over the pack back home, and he’s the perfect guy, but he can’t come home with me.
    River
I coast into town on fumes with nothing but my surfboard and the clothes on my back. A free-spirited Alpha wolf isn’t the norm, but my father gave me one last summer to goof off before I take over the pack, and Shifter Grove is my last stop. However, I didn’t expect to literally collide with Vincent going over my first wave.
The moment I set eyes on all that tanned skin and his infectious smile, I’m hooked. He’s sweet and hot, just the way I like my summer flings, and we’re in bed before I know anything about him. But I never expected to be spilling my secrets to him. Before I know it, he’s making me feel things I’ve never felt before, and my time in Shifter Grove is quickly coming to an end. My father has arranged a mate for me back home, and both of them are expecting me.
    Vincent
A dip in the lake nearly turns into a hospital trip as River literally runs me over with his surfboard. But somehow, I find myself unbothered by this charming Alpha wolf. He’s got a wonderful laugh, and the way he looks at me makes my skin tingle with excitement. It’s almost too easy to fall into bed with him.
River and I agree that this is just a fling. He has a pack to lead back home. Even if I’m convinced he’s my mate, he can’t stay, and I can’t go with him. I do everything I can to resist falling for this perfect wolf. But one thing is certain. When River leaves, he’ll take my heart with him.
Tropes: standalone, arranged marriage, gay for you, fated mate, rejected mate, small town, possessive/jealousy, free spirit, alpha wolf, found family, strict roles, and HEA.

A sweet sapphic romance takes a deadly dark turn in this sharp-as-a-knife novella with the slow build menace of Angela Carter's The Bloody Chamber—from a New York Times-bestselling author hailed by Chuck Wendig as "a storyteller working at the top of her class."

Ro has never felt this way about another woman; with Ash, she wants to be her and have her in equal measure. But as her obsession with Ash consumes her, she may find she's not the one doing the devouring . . .

Told in lush, delectable prose, this is a deliciously dark tale of passion taking an unsavory turn . . .
