In this original script, an international cast of voice actors, a Victorian soundscape and sound effects, and a beautiful Christmassy score, serve to bring you a rendition of this tale you've never heard before! 
  The popularity of "A Christmas Carol" has induced more than 200 movies and scores of other productions across the media spectrum.  In this full-cast audio drama, we take the framework from the original story and follow the Cratchits through the same timeframe where Scrooge is changed by the spirits.  With a careful and intentional blending of the original story with new dialogue the listeners will be given a fresh look at the Cratchit family during a difficult, but hopeful Christmas season.

  Chunkyz Shisha Lounge is a home away from home for Jihad, Rashid and Asif, a space where community whispers are heard, jokes are told, and new hustles are born. But its future is under threat, having become a target for local politicians.
  Aspiring journalist Jihad wants to fight back. After winning a competition to produce his own documentary, he sets out to create something that gives a voice to his community and challenges the usual stereotypes that fill the airwaves. Will he be able to create something that makes his boys proud? Or will his dreams of becoming a journalist come at a cost too high to bear?
  Mohamed-Zain Dada's debut play, Blue Mist is a story about South Asian Muslim men navigating a system that isn't built for them. It premiered at the Royal Court Theatre, London, in October 2023, directed by Milli Bhatia, in a co-production with SISTER.
  Blue Mist won Best Stage Production at the 2024 Asian Media Awards.

  The Poetry of John Clare - A...

  John Clare was born on 13th July, 1793 in Helpston, a few miles north of Peterborough. 
  Schooled only until the age of 12 his early career was that of agricultural labourer, pot boy, gardener and lime burner.  His early life of hardship and frequent malnutrition led to his diminutive stature of five feet and contributed to his later health problems. 
  In 1820 his first poems were published and began to earn him a reputation as the “Northamptonshire Peasant Poet”. 
  His poetry sold well but only occasionally did that and other incomes keep his head above water.  Married with seven children the burden was huge and demanding.  Frequently penniless his health began to dissolve. 
  He last published in 1835 and by 1837 with his drinking out of control and his mental state shredded he entered a mental institution.  He was to reside in such unhappy places until his death. 
  He died aged 71 on 20th May 1864. His remains were returned to Helpston for burial in St Botolph’s churchyard. 
  Today he is considered one of the greatest of English poets.  His lyrical works on nature and the countryside earn him this just praise.

  Often, when speaking of what he has called the poetic operation of language, Scott Cairns has characterized that event as our " glimpsing an indeterminate, inexhaustible enormity within a discrete space." This is the poet' s continuing fascination with lacunae, those spaces, those openings that offer more within than appearances can register from outside the ostensible covert of their terms. Cairns is here focused upon how an image, a word, or— in the case of the Theotokos— a womb can contain the uncontainable. As Orthodox hymnography avers, she is more spacious than the heavens. So, too, the poet suggests, in its own, modest way, the poem might give birth to more, and more, and yet more than even the poet supposes.
