Summary

Boone Parker has just gotten a special delivery. The only problem is, it was sent to the wrong address. Lucky for him, the right address is next door, where a sexy nerd named Dayton Fairchild -- that's what it says on the address label -- has just moved in. Seizing his opportunity, Boone shows up on Dayton's doorstep to return the package.
Dayton Fairchild has a secret: he's been crushing on the sexy jock next door and, when his Gamma Man costume shows up just in time for Halloween, he slips it on his neighbor's doorstep before ringing the bell and scampering away. The ruse works, but his shy neighbor isn't picking up on any of Dayton's sexy hints when he returns the package. Or is he?
When Dayton steps out on Halloween in his new costume, he's thrilled to see his neighbor dressed as Radon Ralph, Gamma Man's trusty sidekick. When the costumes come off and the lovers indulge in their wildest fantasies, their frisky "meet cute" turns into a night of steamy confessions and daring discoveries. What will the morning bring?

Randy Shilts was the preeminent LGBTQ+ reporter of his generation.

He was the first openly gay reporter assigned to a gay beat at a mainstream paper and one of the nation's most influential chroniclers of gay history, politics, and culture. Shilts wrote three seminal works on the community: The Mayor of Castro Street, on the life, assassination, and legacy of Harvey Milk; And the Band Played On, detailing the failure of politics as usual during the early AIDS epidemic; and Conduct Unbecoming, a history of the US military's mistreatment of LGBTQ service members.

Yet the intimate life story of Randy Shilts has been left unwritten. When the Band Played On tells that story, recognizing his legacy as a trailblazing figure in gay activism, journalism, and public policy.

The resulting narrative tells the tale of a singularly gifted voice, a talented yet insecure young man whose coming of age became intricately linked to the historic peaks and devastating perils of modern gay liberation.

When the Band Played On is the authoritative account of Randy Shilts's trailblazing life, as well as his legacy of shaping the history-making events he covered.

Dale Edinger has just inherited a house from his aunt. It's a good thing too because traumatic shoulder damage and PTSD has forced the Marine lieutenant to retire. Fortunately, or unfortunately, Aunt Mildred's inheritance is more than an overfull and chaotic house. All kinds of surprises await Dale as he sorts through his aunt's hoard.
Riadh is one of those surprises. He's a djinn, a being of magic from another culture -- and Dale is his new owner -- much to Dale's dismay. Riadh has his own history and a set of rules that make it impossible for him to be freed. It's not only Riadh that Dale has to contend with either. In fact, just finding the magickal objects that his aunt had squirreled away in her house will be a trick. When he finds them, what does he do with them? And what about Riadh?

Paisley's fallen into bed with Harper twice already over their years of friendship, but it's never meant anything. Unless it has, in which case—well, she'd have to confront those feelings now, because Harper is on her way out of Bayview for good.
