Through many years of experience at the school for teachers, she has come to realise that knowledge and learning are yet to be recognised as valuable pursuits by the collective human being, who often views them as burdensome. These values, which significantly influence our comprehension, behaviour and perception of the world, due to this primitive mindset remain at a low level of awareness, impairing effective learning and growth. Consequently, personal and spiritual growth remains stunted, undernourished and neglected. In her work Alenka Lena Petric analyses how, to realise our full potential – joy, happiness and contentment – we must first address these two primary separations.
