Summary

The book is a study of the gospels, not a verse by verse commentary, but an overview of the recorded events as written by each writer, focussing on the writers view and emphasis of events recorded. The gospel of John for instance looks at each character encountered, the situation prevailing and the outcome of the encounter, whilst the gospel of Mark looks at different events with suggested headlines that may be used in sermons, lessons for the young and old, or teaching on issues such as morality, divorce, community responsibility, treatment of neighbours, faith, belief in God etc. The gospels of Matthew and Luke are looked at from a similar view ie. focussing on the salient features as record by each writer and their particular emphasis on what took place and the outcome of the dealings of the Saviour for the individuals involved. Thus the book is suitable for the students of biblical records, not requiring high academic knowledge or particular language capability, but an interest in events in the life of Jesus Christ and the purpose of his coming into this world.

Mary Magdalene's life was transformed when she was healed by Christ and joined his ministry from Galilee to Jerusalem. The Gospels teach that she was also a witness at the cross and the first one sent by Christ to preach his resurrection. Yet her story is often confused, scandalized, and undervalued by the church.

In The Mary We Forgot, award-winning church historian and theologian Jennifer Powell McNutt unpacks Scripture and history to reveal the real Mary Magdalene: the first apostle of the good news and a model of discipleship for both men and women today.

McNutt also invites listeners along on her journey through southern France, tracing the path remembered by some church traditions as where Mary Magdalene spread the gospel. Christians will learn from the disciple known as the "apostle to the apostles" how to embrace Jesus's calling to "go and tell" with faith and courage. They'll also be encouraged by the reminder that God calls ordinary, imperfect, and unexpected people to share the good news of Jesus Christ. The hope of remembering Mary Magdalene is ultimately to better know the one to whom she pointed, the risen Christ.

This is not a book. It is a mirror.
A sacred remembering. A manifesto for the soul that has tasted heartbreak, sat in silence, and is ready to rise — not to become someone new, but to return to what has always been true.

In The Sacred Choice, Stephen L. Robertson shares a poetic transmission that walks through fire and grief, ego death and resurrection, love and surrender — revealing a path of awakening not through escape, but through presence.

This is a companion for those who are no longer chasing healing, but embodying it. For those ready to cross the threshold into stillness, into flame, into their own knowing.

If you have found this book, you are already remembering. Not my truth — yours.

Part II of my God Song Lyrics is a continuation of my gifts given to me by God; mostly throughout the sleepless nights during my Physical Rehabilitation in which my body’s desire to “heal” would make it very difficult to sleep anyway, so when I received a “download”, I would simply get out of bed and begin writing. Most of the time, the words would fill my heart and bring me such emotional Joy that I would have to wipe the tears before writing the next line.

I hope you IN-Joy these lyrics and find inspiration to create songs from them. I’m not a singer, nor a musician capable of writing the ‘sound’ behind my lyrics…I’m just a man communing with God to receive the Words of God through Songs!
