Summary

In a world where the tapestry of time and dimensions hangs delicately by a thread, a group of extraordinary individuals known as the Weavers of Eternity emerges. Led by the fearless Amelia, they embark on a grand odyssey to restore balance and harmony to the interconnected realms.
From the treacherous Temporal Nexus to the enigmatic realm of Zephyrheim, they face ancient prophecies, temporal anomalies, and ethereal beings. Along the way, they unlock the secrets of threadweaving, dream manipulation, and the power of interconnectedness.
As their journey unfolds, Amelia and her companions unravel the mysteries of the tapestry, battling against chaos and the looming threat of the Shattered Veil. With each chapter, they discover new facets of their abilities, forging alliances, and spreading enlightenment.
But their true test lies in the choices they must make—between wielding destructive power or seeking harmony, between unraveling time or preserving its delicate dance. Their actions will reverberate throughout the ages, shaping the legacy of the Weavers of Eternity.
In this epic tale of adventure, woven with intricate threads of magic and wisdom, the fate of the tapestry hangs in the balance. Will the Weavers succeed in their quest, or will the world be torn apart? The Black Cat by Edgar Allan Poe - A man and his cat. A bond… broken. Then came the madness.
For the most wild, yet most homely narrative which I am about to pen, I neither expect nor solicit belief. Mad indeed would I be to expect it, in a case where my very senses reject their own evidence. Yet, mad am I not—and very surely do I not dream. But to-morrow I die, and to-day I would unburthen my soul. My immediate purpose is to place before the world, plainly, succinctly, and without comment, a series of mere household events. In their consequences, these events have terrified—have tortured—have destroyed me. Yet I will not attempt to expound them. To me, they have presented little but horror—to many they will seem less terrible than barroques. Hereafter, perhaps, some intellect may be found which will reduce my phantasm to the common-place—some intellect more calm, more logical, and far less excitable than my own, which will perceive, in the circumstances I detail with awe, nothing more than an ordinary succession of very natural causes and effects.
From my infancy I was noted for the docility and humanity of my disposition. My tenderness of heart was even so conspicuous as to make me the jest of my companions. I was especially fond of animals, and was indulged by my parents with a great variety of pets. With these I spent most of my time, and never was so happy as when feeding and caressing them. This peculiarity of character grew with my growth, and in my manhood, I derived from it one of my principal sources of pleasure. To those who have cherished an affection for a faithful and sagacious dog, I need hardly be at the trouble of explaining the nature or the intensity of the gratification thus derivable. There is something in the unselfish and self-sacrificing love of a brute, which goes directly to the heart of him who has had frequent occasion to test the paltry friendship and gossamer fidelity of mere Man.

This audio adventure story tells how Donkey Ollie, Ruthie, Jehu, Alondra, Abner and Elizabeth attempt to deliver the last seven letters of John to the seven churches of Revelation - Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia and Laodicea. Of course, they bring their African Lion friend Theopolis and Hannibal their elephant buddy as well. After all what is a circus without a lion or elephant? By masquerading as a traveling circus, they know they will be avoiding Roman interference. They secure boat transport in Egypt from Allondra's cousin Ramses the Pharoah. Unfortunately, they decide to take a bath in the Nile which almost turns deadly for the young elephant Muwanna who is rescued from the jaws of a crocodile with the help of the whole circus troop. Finally, they set out for cities located along the rocky Asian Coast accompanied by their faithful observant Seagull Smoothfeather.
As you might expect, this audio book generally follows the screenplay and illustrated comic book, with very few changes. The song lyrics are delightfully poetic and included. The language and content are easily understood. This Circus story is definitely aimed at families, with some clever plot twists and humor for adults as well. The audio book, expertly read by Sidney Stewart is squarely aimed at a child audience with a wonderfully paced cadence. The content of the story is an effective tribute to Brian Stewart's work on Donkey Ollie. This is the eighth story in a rather wonderful series, five already exist as animated films. In my opinion, this is by far the best. There are frequent mentions of subterfuge and danger and new friendships are forged as the ensemble travels from city to city, delivering the secret letters throughout the Roman occupied lands. The Letters of John make up the basis of the Book of Revelation. This is certainly an imaginative way to deliver the letters. I am sure the Apostle John would have been delighted with it.
