Summary

Cohabitation is a big step in any relationship, so to make sure you don’t get stuck with a deadleaf, Houseplant Hookups digs up all the dirt on 35 prospective houseplant partners. By first setting the foundation for a successful relationship with information on purchasing, propagating, and basic plant care, it’ll be easy to know when you’ve found the One. Does your apartment have a scenic view of a brick wall? The Snake Plant thrives in low light. Tend to forget you’re even in a relationship? The Golden Pothos is anything but codependent and won’t hold neglect against you. Far more helpful than your average Tinder profile, Houseplant Hookups will help you decide if a relationship with a Fiddle Leaf Fig is more likely to be a fling or a forever kind of love. Humorist Jeanne Robertson has entertained audiences for five decades with her original, hilarious stories. In her new release, this “Grandma Gone Viral” with millions of views on YouTube shares some of her classic stories and introduces new ones. Jeanne’s collection of stories, Don’t Bungee Jump Naked and other important stuff is worth the time to sit, read and laugh. A variety of stories included in this collection have served Jeanne well through the years. Most of these older stories have been updated for this book, often with little epilogues that provide, as Paul Harvey used to say, “the rest of the story.” Other stories are based on events that happened recently. A few stories even appear for the first time. All her favorite characters are featured, including Left Brain, Toni - Queen of Everything, “bestest” friend Norma Rose, son Beaver and Jane Tucker from NYC! Some new characters are also introduced - the toothpick man, the young entrepreneur, and a giant marmot - just to name a few. What could possibly go wrong on a trip to Hawaii, an eight-day rafting trip through the Grand Canyon or a trip with your “bestest” friend to Las Vegas? Why shouldn’t you send Left Brain to the grocery store, and how did son Beaver lose his car? Utilizing her charming southern writing style, her descriptive story-telling and her genuine, self-effacing humor, Jeanne provides the reader with answers to these questions and many more. Get ready to laugh, and constantly be reminded to look for humor - everywhere

    THE MARVEL CINEMATIC UNIVERSE
THE ULTIMATE TRIVIA AND CURIOUS FACTS COLLECTION

    CREATED BY TRIVIA HUB

The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is a shared universe of interconnected films, television series, and other media properties, based on Marvel Comics characters. Kevin Feige is a key figure in its development, having conceived the shared media universe and serving as the studio chief. Initially planned as a series of individual films that merged into crossovers, the MCU has expanded to include television event series, short films, and digital content, all contributing to an overarching narrative. The MCU's narrative is divided into phases, with the first three phases collectively known as "The Infinity Saga" and phases four through six known as "The Multiverse Saga". Marvel Studios has also created an animation branch to produce more animated content. The MCU has also expanded into other media, such as theme park attractions, exhibits, documentaries and books.

    CURIOUS FACT SAMPLES:

The Marvel Cinematic Universe was initially referred to as the "Marvel Cinema Universe" by Kevin Feige before he changed the name. The shared narrative continuity expanded beyond just films to include other media.

Marvel Studios secured a $525 million revolving credit facility with Merrill Lynch to raise capital for their film projects. This funding enabled the studio to plan individual films for main characters that would eventually merge into crossover movies.

Avi Arad, who resigned from Marvel in 2006, doubted the shared universe strategy would work, and felt it was his reputation that secured the initial financing. He did not believe that individual films would be successful.

A CAPTIVATING JOURNEY AROUND THE WORLD FROM THE CREATOR OF JAMES BOND
Ian Fleming’s world travels and interests, as well as his journalism and wartime experiences, lent authority to everything he wrote. In 1959, the Sunday Times commissioned Fleming to write a series of dispatches from the world’s most beguiling locales. The result was Thrilling Cities, a masterpiece of well-observed travelogue that stands ably alongside the author’s Bond canon.
From Hong Kong to Honolulu, New York to Naples, he left the bright main streets for the back alleys, abandoning tourist sites in favor of underground haunts, and mingling with celebrities, gangsters and geishas. The result is a series of vivid snapshots of a mysterious, vanished world from a twentieth century Western perspective.
Just like his most famous fictional creation, Ian Fleming was a well-traveled man of the world who knew where to go to find excitement, adventure…and danger. In Thrilling Cities, he takes us along on a journey of international intrigue worthy of James Bond.
