Synopsis

Between faith and power lies destruction. 
In a realm divided by warring faiths, young Roan aspires to become a Knight of the Modeus despite his low rank. But when the militant Archon Knight Trylian orchestrates a bold plan to overthrow the Elsarius-faithful king, Roan finds himself thrust into a position of terrible power. 
Phael, a gentle young Claret of the Elsarius, is torn from the Sanctuary and forced to magically bind with Roan, becoming the unwilling source of the Knight's growing powers. As their bond deepens, Phael witnesses both the cruelty and humanity in the boy who holds his life in his hands. 
From savage slaughter to burning villages, Roan's acts of brutality earn him and Phael quick advancement through the ranks. But when Trylian further reveals his plans for Roan, the young Knight must decide: will he become the monster Trylian wants, or risk losing everything he's killed to gain?
