Zetta Sylvia Baillou-Poitier was born 7 June 1963 in High Rock, Grand Bahama. She attended the all-age school in High Rock and graduated from Grand Bahama Catholic High School in 1979. She completed certification courses at Nassau Business Academy in 1980 and 1981.
