Elizabeth Festus was born in Yei South Sudan. Due to the civil war in Sudan. Her family moved to a refugee camp called Kakuma in Kenya. In 2000 her family moved to United States to start a new life. She currently lives in a tiny apartment in Buffalo, NY with her daughter Blessing.
After her daughter came home from school upset because her classmates called her hair nappy and said she needed to perm it to make it nicer, Elizabeth was inspired to write a book about nappy hair. She hopes this...
