I am a twenty seven year old young black woman. I have been writing since the age of twelve.
My writings were mainly poems that allowed me to get out the different emotions that sometimes
held me captive. What served as personal therapy for myself became entertainment for family,
friends, and the listening crowds when I spoke at small functions. Nearly 15 years later after
