Tarif Khalidi
Tarif Khalidi is the Shaykh Zayid Professor of Arabic and Islamic Studies at the American University of Beirut. His most recent publications include The Qur'an: A New Translation (Penguin, 2008) and Images of Muhammad: Narratives of the Prophet in Islam Across the Centuries (Doubleday, 2009). He was formerly Sir Thomas Adams's Professor of Arabic and Fellow of King's College, Cambridge.
