Steve Ryan
Steve Ryan is a Bristolian educated at St Brendan’s College. After graduating from Birmingham University in 1972, he spent forty years teaching at QEH, becoming Head of History and then boarding master for fifteen years alongside his wife, Jane. His sons, William and Joseph, both attended the school. He retired in 2013 as Deputy Headmaster, having served under four headmasters: Harry Edwards, Robin Pittman, Dr Richard Gliddon and Stephen Holliday. He continues to serve QEH as archivist and football coach, and is a governor at two local schools.
