My ancestors are African American and Blackfoot Indians. I was born on April 19, 1955, in Denver, Colorado. My parents were Lewis and Emma Hill. I went back and forth living with my grandparents, my mom, my dad, and his parents, and then back with my mom until I was on my own. My mom met Mr. Willie Byrd, through whom I had five more siblings, which made us thirteen children in all. I lived in the states of Colorado, Michigan, Oklahoma, and Georgia.
