Robert Louis Covington
Robert Louis Covington is the son of sharecroppers from South Carolina. They migrated to Washington, D.C., where Covington spent most of his life. He draws inspiration from his vast experience, which includes baseball, racial conflict, seeing his father marching off to fight in World War II, and catching live bands performing at theaters in post-war America.
