Robert E. Howard
Robert E. Howard (1906-1936) was an American writer born in Peaster, Texas, who spent his life in the small town of Cross Plains and wrote for the pulp magazines, chiefly Weird Tales. He created Conan, Kull and Solomon Kane, and shot himself at thirty on learning his mother would not recover. His works include the Conan stories, the Solomon Kane stories, and Bran Mak Morn.
