Nikolai Gogol
Nikolai Gogol (1809–1852) was a Russian prose writer and dramatist. He worked as a government clerk in St. Petersburg before publishing the novel Dead Souls and the collections Taras Bulba, and Other Tales and The Mantle, and Other Stories.
