Niki Adamson grew up in the Texas panhandle. After business college, marriage, and three children, she moved to Fairbanks, Alaska, where she spent the next forty years. After her children got older, she went back to work full-time. She was the operating partner with her husband in a gift store and then manager of one of four bookstores her husband owned.
