Maureen Philpott Napier was born in Edinburgh, Scotland. Her family immigrated to Canada when she was almost sixteen. Prior to being diagnosed with MS, she was a food scientist by trade, working as a product development manager for a large food manufacturer. Maureen lives with her husband of twenty-four years, Terry, and their three children in Ontario, Canada.
