Marlene Hobsbawm
Marlene Hobsbawm spent her early life in in Vienna. Her family fled Austria for the UK in the 1930s to escape the rise of Nazism. As a young woman she worked in Paris, Italy and the Congo before returning to England where she met the eminent historian Eric Hobsbawm. The couple were married for over 40 years (check?) and travelled the world together with their two children. Marlene lives in North London.
