Mark Newberry
Mark Newberry is a retired Metropolitan Police Custody Officer, serving London’s
Docklands and West End over three decades from the 1960s until the 1990s. He
retains fond memories of the camaraderie among his colleagues and the sardonic,
often dark humour that helped alleviate the worst effects of the difficult aspects of
‘The Job’. This is a first novel. His other published work includes verse (book/magazine
and newspaper), and songs (Nashville USA).
