Louise Ellis grew up in Bristol and the city’s culture and surrounding countryside inspire much of her writing. After studying English Literature at Sussex University, she trained as a journalist. For many years, she worked as a TV producer on lifestyle and current affairs programmes. Then Louise decided to follow a dream and she took a career break to spend a year in New York studying art.
