The author, Lloyd E. Afflick was born and raised in Portland, Jamaica. O-Ceisa graduate of the Mico Teachers College and the University of the West Indies, "Kingston, Jamaica. He holds a Masters (Degree in Education from Florida Atlantic University, where he received a special award for Academic Excellence. He is an amateur poet and enjoys writing on social, educational and historical themes.
