LiLi Auten started writing comedy monologs for her two young daughters who were in acting at a modeling/acting talent agency. She went on the search to find them short monologs to say for IMTA, a national competition held in New York City. The pickings were so slim in the bookstores, she herself, wrote each daughter a monolog to say. The acting coach thought they were so great he asked her to write for the whole class.
