Author, Leigh Clarke was born in the western state of Wyoming in the 30s, her point of view was influenced by the visual and written history of the West that surrounded her; where the Sioux roamed and established their winter camps, and western ranchers, like her father and grandfathers before him, attempted to survive the Great Depression, a major draught, and a World War.
