Joris-Karl Huysmans
Joris-Karl Huysmans (1848–1907) was a French novelist and civil servant. He worked in the French Ministry of the Interior for over thirty years while writing fiction and art criticism. His novel Against the Grain (À rebours, 1884) became a key work of the Decadent movement.
