Hierro Blanco was born in France from Spanish and Portuguese very traditional
parents. His conservative family background openly clashed with the wild French
university environment of the late 60s, when he was a teenager. Such an explosive
educational confrontation strengthened the need to fi nd his true identity in the
interaction with his peers and friends. The pursuit of his destiny was especially
achieved in 1970, when he dove into the dark blue eyes of someone he met in
Madrid on his way to Portugal to spend Easter Holidays.
