Gene Toews
Married, with two kids and one grandson, I have been an artist for seven years. The first five years I did relief carvings of geometric designs, people, and animals. For the past two years, I've been doing abstract paintings. All my material, except for a few screws, is either from the landfill or garage sales.
My grandson is born in July 2015, and that's when I started writing poetry.
As for my philosophy on art, don't ask yourself what the world needs. Ask yourself what makes you come alive...
