Edward Beltrami
Edward Beltrami is professor emeritus at Stony Brook University, where he has lectured on probability theory, among other topics, at the undergraduate and graduate level and published research papers in a number of professional journals. He is the author of several books on the applications of mathematics. The most recent are What Is Random? (Springer-Verlag 1999) and Mathematical Models for Society and Biology (Elsevier Press 2013).
