Dr. Brian La Trobe
Brian La Trobe retired from Dental practice in 1986 to pursue his environmental interests. He designed South Africa's first energy from waste programme using the landfill site of Grahamstown South Africa. Later, on behalf of the South African Research Commission, he researched and developed a sanitation treatment system which required no water.
