I began writing poetry at an early age because my mind was always fixed on the artwork, and poetic dialect formed in the greeting cards that arrived at the family home, and when I entered junior high school I fell in love with a poem called “The Ballot of Johnny Appleseed”.
I have never forgotten the poem and it is still my favorite poem today.
