Carol Phillips Born in Chicago June 2, 1924
She grew up in Green Bay, Wisconsin, and returned to Chicago for nursing school during WWII. She completed her undergraduate and graduate degrees at UNC-CH with help from her children. Her nursing career has been in a number of fields including teaching in Durham and Fiji. She facilitated classes on “Great Books” and “Reading Shakespeare” at OLLI, the school for older adults at Duke. Her great adventure was living in Fiji as a...
