My husband, George, and I have been married for fifty-six years. I went back to school at age thirty-one after we had our family of four children. I received my BA from UMD in 1972. The same year, I was fortunate to get a teaching position in the town of Acushnet, Massachusetts. Where we lived and our children attended school. I taught third grade for nineteen years and first grade for five years before retiring.
