Barbara Walker
Known as the “Woman In Blue” because she always wore blue dresses, Barbara Walker, founder of Reach Out to Haiti, has provided basic needs to Haitians for over thirty years and has facilitated the adoptions of almost two thousand children. She actively manages Ruuska Village—a walled community in Bon Repos, Haiti—Maki Island, and Blue Escape, which are safe havens for mothers and children fleeing dangerous environments.
