Dr. Athar Naqvi (b. 1944) obtained his Ph.D. degree in 1969 from Imperial College, London (UK) in Laser, Holography and Plasma Physics. As an experimental Laser Physicist, he has been involved in the study of the structure and dynamics of atoms, molecules, crystals and gaseous plasmas. These studies provide keen understanding of the laws governing the behavior of matter systems.
