Why do I write? I write because I feel a need to express my deepest feelings. I feel safe to show my vulnerability on paper, and it gives me comfort. I have not shared these poems except with two or three people. I was not sure if I wanted to publish them until recently when I had been reading The Right to Write by Julia Cameron, and I was convinced that I needed to share my voice.
