Annette Akerman is married and resides with her husband in Florida. She is the mother of six children and several grandchildren, is now retired, and works part time. She has worked as a full time bookkeeper, but her real passion is writing. She has been published numerous times over the years for her poetry, and has won several awards for her work in that area, including the President’s Award for Literary Excellence in 1998.
