In spite of obtaining a lot of her pleasure in writing, Nefes loves horseback riding more than anything in the world. Her equestrian accomplishments including many 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place ribbons and medals developed greatly over the course of her nine year riding career. The idea for the novel Something in Common partly developed from her love of riding, and her memorable experiences doing so.
