Almon Collins
Almon Collins was born and reared in Turner County, Ashburn Georgia. He is the son of Dorsey and Rosa Collins. He dropped out of school to enter the United States Marine Corps to do his part in the Korean War. He was too young to enter the combat zone.
After hisstint with the military, he enrolled in Charleston Southern University in South Carolina. Graduating withdegrees in Physics and Mathematics (two majors), he was employed as an Engineer with Lockheed Missiles and Space Corporation. He...
