Alixe Dique
ALIXE DIQUE was born in Nasik, India in 1948, and migrated to Australia on the ship ‘The Stratheden’ in 1949; was educated at the Brisbane Central Technical College to achieve a Diploma in Commercial Art.
After working as a junior artist at Jackson Wain Advertising, she moved on to Press Etching (Printers) and later became a freelance artist; having held 7 one-man exhibitions, 2 being overseas in Kent, Great Britain. Alixe has set up a Regional Art Gallery in Bedourie, Far West Queensland.
