Algirdas V. Kanauka
Algirdas Vincas Kanauka was born on March 10, 1931, in Kaunas, Lithuania. His father, Vincas Kanauka, was a medical doctor and surgeon with an academic rank of professor, who taught medicine at the Vytautas Magnus University in Kaunas. He studied medicine before World War I in Kiev, Tsarist Russia (now the Ukraine) and later, after the war, in Munich, Germany.
