Alexandre Dumas
Alexandre Dumas nació en Villers-Cotterêts, al norte de París, en 1802. Fue secretario del duque de Orleans y pasante de un notario. Su pasión por la lectura y la historia lo convirtieron en un prolífico escritor, destacando sus obras Los tres mosqueteros, El conde de Montecristo o La reina Margot. En 1824 nació su hijo Alexandre, autor de La dama de las camelias. Republicano, apoyó la revolución de 1848; pero cuando ésta fracasó tuvo que huir a Bélgica.
