Having trained first as a Fine artist in the UK and Italy, Adrian began his career in teaching before becoming a local authority policy adviser in arts and culture. Later he spent a number of years at the Arts Council (London) where he created the first national Arts and Refugee Programme in his capacity as Head of Access.
