Abbé Prevost
Antoine François Prévost (1697–1763), known as Abbé Prévost, was a French Benedictine priest and writer. He worked in Paris, London, and the Netherlands, and translated Samuel Richardson’s novels into French. He is known for his novel Manon Lescaut (1731).
