Sinopsis

நாலாயிர திவ்விய பிரபந்தப் பாடல்களுக்கு சாஸ்திரிய சங்கீத வடிவு தந்திருக்கிறார்கள். அப்படி நம்மை வந்தடையும் பாடல்கள் நாலாயிரத்தில் ஓரிரு நூறு பாடல்களே. சற்றே நீண்ட வடிவில் பாராயணமாகக் கிடைக்கின்றன. 
பிரபந்தப் பாடல்கள் இயற்றமிழ் பாற்பட்டவை. இயற்றமிழ்ப் பாடல் வகைகளுக்கும் இனங்களுக்கும் ஓசை வகுப்பு முறை இருக்கிறது. இவ்வோசையில் பிரபந்தப் பாடல்கள் அனைத்தையும் தரும் ஒரு முயற்சிதான் இந்த ஒலியாக்கம். செப்பல், அகவல், துள்ளல், தூங்கல் ஓசைகளில் யாப்பிலக்கிணத்துக்கு ஏற்ப ஆண்டாளின் பாடல்களை இந்த ஒலி நூலில் கேட்கலாம். 
ஆண்டாளின் திருப்பாவை 30 பாசுரங்கள் மற்றும் நாச்சியார் திருமொழி 143 பாசுரங்களை இந்த ஒலி நூலில் கேட்கலாம். பன்னிரு ஆழ்வார்களின் பாடல்கள் தனித்தனி ஒலி நூல்களாக ரமணி ஒலி நூலகத்தில் கிடைக்கின்றன. 
 The Vaishnavite hymns, Nalayira Divya Prabantham are set to music as well as recited in the recitation (parayana) tradition. While a randomly selected couple of hundreds of poems only are set to music and sung by performing artists, the recitation has been established as a discipline. These hymns have been composed according to Tamil Prosody known as //yappu//. They belong to what is known as //iyatramiz//. Such classical compositions have four kinds, AkavarpA, Venpa, Kalippa and Vanjippa (Pavinankal). Each of these have several derivative forms known as Pavakaikal. These conform to the traditional method of rendering in Akavalosai, Seppalosai, Thullalosai and Thunkalosai. This tradition has been lost for good. In an attempt to revive the traditional methods of rendering, Ramani Audio Books has recorded about 1500 hours of audio beginning from Ettuththokai down to contemporary literature through Epics, Bhakthi literature (Saivam, Vaishnavam, Buddhism, Islam) as well as Middle Age Tamil Literature. 
In this audiobook you can listen to Thiruppavai (30 verses) and Nacciyar Thirumozhi (143) verses rendered in crisp and prosodically correct rendering. Other works by Azhvars are given in separate books.
