Sinopsis

The region of 'Chalisgav Dangan' is home to a significant population of indigenous tribal communities. The history of this society is highly esteemed. This novel narrates the account of the unprecedented struggles undertaken by this community for Hindu self-rule. The true history of the fight for independence against the British, which many sacrificed for, unfortunately has not been adequately presented to society. Many have sacrificed their lives for this cause. The saga of their sacrifices is of utmost importance for the present and future generations. One such crucial battle that occurred between 1818 and 1837 has been presented in an inspirational historical novel titled 'Ahinakul' by Dr. Anil Sahasrabuddhe. 
‘चाळीसगाव डांगाण’ या परीसरात वनवासी आदीवासी समाजाची मोठी संख्या आहे. या समाजाचा इतिहास अत्यंत गौरवशाली आहे. या जमातींनी हिंदवी स्वराज्यासाठी दिलेल्या अभूतपूर्व लढ्याचे वर्णन करणारी ही कादंबरी आहे. इंग्रजांविरुद्ध अनेकांनी दिलेला स्वातंत्र्य लढ्याचा खरा इतिहास दुर्दैवाने समाजापुढे आणला गेला नाही. अनेकांनी त्यासाठी बलिदान केलेले आहे. त्यांच्या बलिदानाची गाथा आजच्या पिढीपुढे येणे अत्यंत गरजेचे आहे असाच एक लढा १८१८ ते १८३७ च्या दरम्यान जो झाला तो प्रेरणादायक इतिहास कादंबरीच्या रुपाने डॉ. अनिल सहस्रबुद्धे यांनी 'अहिनकुल' या कादंबरीद्वारे पुढे आणला आहे.
