Sinopse

ബ്രിട്ടീഷുകാര്‍ക്കെതിരെ എഴുതിയെന്ന കുറ്റത്തിന് തടവിലാക്കപ്പെട്ട ബഷീറിന്റെ ജയിലനുഭവമാണ് മതിലുകള്‍. മതിലിനപ്പുറത്തെ സ്ത്രീതടവുകാരുടെ ജയിലിൽ താൻ കണ്ടിട്ടില്ലാത്ത നാരായണിയുമായുള്ള ബഷീറിന്റെ പ്രണയത്തിലൂടെ മലയാളനോവല്‍ അതുവരെ പരിചയിക്കാത്ത പ്രണയത്തിന്റെ ചെറുമഴകളെ അനുഭവിപ്പിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു ബഷീര്‍.
